- Ultrasound: Typically 20–45 minutes, depending on the type of scan.
- X-ray: Usually 10–15 minutes with minimal wait time for walk-ins.
- Ultrasound and X-ray results are sent to your doctor within 24–48 hours.
Preparation depends on the type of ultrasound:
- Abdominal Ultrasound: Fast for 6–8 hours before the exam.
- Pelvic Ultrasound: Drink 1 liter of water one hour before your appointment and do not urinate.
- Obstetric Ultrasound: A full bladder is required for early pregnancy scans.
We do our best to accommodate same-day ultrasound appointments if space is available. Walk-ins for ultrasound are subject to availability.
