Job Summary:

We are looking for an x-ray technologist to join our team on a part-time/ full-time basis for a stable long-term career opportunity. Competitive salary. This position may require you to travel to other sites.

  • Reporting to Clinic: Clinic Manager
  • Work hours: Day, Evening and Weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Able to perform patient examinations as prescribed by referring physicians
  • Responsible for ensuring proper patient identification and preparation is correct prior to scan
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Observe patient during diagnostic procedure, making note of symptoms, discomfort or changes to vital status. Seek medical attention when necessary.
  • Ensure all company policies, quality control assessments and best practices are adhered to and followed.
  • Ensure and maintain all Quality Control Procedures
  • Follow and complete all equipment maintenance in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure equipment is performing in an efficient manner and initiate maintenance when necessary.
  • Maintains an operating work area to specified standards including strict adherence to infection control protocols
  • Prepare and complete reports as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • College of Medical Radiation Technologist on Ontario (CMRTO) registered.
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) membership
  • Certified to perform Bone Mineral Density Exams (ADT certification preferred but not required)
  • Computer literacy and training preferred
  • Experienced in Velox (RIS/PACS) an asset.
  • Current CPR certificiate
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player
  • Demonstrate decisiveness, the ability to problem-solve, strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Committed to growth by maintaining continuing education practices and training
  • 0-2 years of related experience

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude for the facility
  • Receive, process and direct patients in a courteous manner in compliance with company policies
  • Obtain and input patient identification, documentation and history
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate patient records
  • Confirm patients have followed proper exam preparation
  • Demonstrate a collaborate working approach to assist technologists with cleaning and restocking supplies
  • Assist technologist in preparing patient for their examination, including changing, guiding, assisting in ability, cleaning, supply restocking etc.
  • Assist with general clinic work flow
  • Routine cleaning of general work areas and equipment as required
  • Ensure patient reports are delivered, faxed and/or distributed promptly
  • Document and report all equipment malfunctions for the clinic including front desk equipment as well as imaging equipment
  • All government/ministry regulations to be adhered to
  • Ensure patient inquires/concerns are answered or referred to management when necessary
  • Perform additional duties as required by the clinic supervisor or management

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of medical receptionist experience an asset
  • Graduate of a medical office administration program an asset
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently as well as a part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Good communicator who has a solid command of the English language
  • CPR and First Aid certification encouraged
